BIG thanks to everyone who entered this year's music competition! It's now time to vote for your favorite bands. The TOP FIVE bands with the most votes will move on to compete at the concert finale on Saturday, August 2, 2014.

Odd Army formed in early 2011 as its members were entering high school. They have performed at venues such as school festivals, Santana Row, and Stanford Radio Station. Odd Army was initially a cover band, but as they matured, they began writing their own music.
Arnav likes to play fast-paced and exciting music. He enjoys playing the guitar no matter what type of music.
6thDimension is an after-school band of friends turning contemporary hits into classics.
Cindy B.’s music taste is eclectic because she's a strong independent woman who doesn’t need to limit her music tastes to a genre.
The Modern Army are a 3 piece rock band with a wide range influences from grunge to pop to rock.
PINKLemonade are a are a punk/indie/Reggae band.
A Guy with a Guitar has been studying the guitar since 2011. He's currently in two other bands in the lead guitar position, playing instrumental surf rock and traditional rockabilly. He also enjoys playing classic jazz and blues material.
“Allegro" is a term commonly used in music, meaning that the piece should be played at a quick, brisk tempo. Comprised of percussion, guitar, ukulele, violin, viola, piano, and various vocals, Allegro is dedicated to bringing this cheerful and upbeat attitude to all in the audience. We were brought together through a developing club at Leland High School, and we can only hope that this is the start of something great.
Quantum is a combo made up of young high school students. They play a wide variety of styles, ranging from jazz to funk to latin, and love incorporating the different genres in their performances.

Carmelo has been writing songs for four years. He dreams to become a great musician.
The top FIVE finalists will compete for prizes at a live publicized concert on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Almaden Branch Library and Community Center. The finalists will have up to 20 minutes to perform their set in front of an audience and a judging panel of local music experts.
All are invited to attend this exciting concert event, which will showcase local talented youth. The judges will determine the grand prize winner of San Jose Public Library's 7th annual Battle of the Bands!
