Learn practical Korean Conversation such as greetings, numbers, and food. Chat topics may include K-Pop, K-Drama, and K-Culture.

Have you ever tasted “Kimchi, a traditional fermented Korean dish made of vegetables with a variety of seasonings? It is Korea's national dish, and there are hundreds of varieties made with a main vegetable ingredient such as napa cabbage, radish, scallion, or cucumber. If you have a chance to visit to Korea, stay not only in Seoul, but also in Jeju island (an island off the southern coast of South Korea, the island contains the natural World Heritage Site Jeju Volcanic Island and Lava Tubes, called as "Island of the Gods” or "the Hawaii of Korea") and Gyeongju (a coastal city in the far southeastern corner of North Gyeongsang province in South Korea, the capital of the ancient kingdom of Silla (57 BC – 935 AD), called as "the museum without walls.")

Two Maximum Access subscriptions for eBooks are now part of the Overdrive digital library, found on the SJPL Home Page under eMedia. "Maximum Access" means that the titles are not subject to "holds" but can be used by multiple users at the same time! The first subscription is for some of the most current Lonely Planet Travel Books. The second Max Access subscription is for the Disney Collection for Children and Teens. This library includes children's and some teen titles that are only available via this subscription. All Lonely Planet Maximum Access titles are available to read on Kindles, free Kindle apps or on eBook compatible comptuers and devices. The Disney Collection is available as "interactive" books to be read on Windows and Mac computers.
The two current Maximum Access Collections, Disney Collection for Children and Teens and Lonely Planet Travel Books, are now "showcased" on Overdrive as the first and second featured collections on Overdrive's Home Page, http://overdrive.sjlibrary.org/3B904027-4CBB-47BD-80AB-1652490A7B82/10/294/en/default.htm, so they will be easier to find.
