There's nothing more comforting than having some hot soup on a cold day. Especially during the late Fall/early Winter season, I tend to eat a lot of soups with crackers or homemade bread. And my routine for after work often includes curling up on the couch with a good book, a cup of hot tea/coffee/cocoa to sip, and some easy lounge music playing in the background. It's the perfect way to finish out the workday. It's all about the cozy and the comfortable. And here at San Jose Public Library, we have a wonderful selection of books with some great recipes for soups and some special brews for the season!

Another idea for the Winter season is to host a small get-together of friends. Perhaps an afternoon tea with a theme might be just the thing to drive the Winter blues away!
