Happy National Teacher Appreciation Week! Every year, the first full week of May is dedicated to educators – recognizing the work they do all year long. The Tuesday of that week is Teacher Appreciation Day. This year, it falls on Tuesday, May 2. Educators, there’s a library card just for you! The Educator Card is a special library card with extended checkout and renewal periods and no fines on overdue materials. This card is for adults (18+) who work for a preschool or K-12 school (public, charter, private) in the city of San José.
