Introducing Thuha Tran
Thuha began volunteering at Berryessa Branch Library in November 2019. She has taught others how to crochet and inspired those new to the craft. Although a busy professional, she has made time to continue to volunteer virtually by presenting crochet classes through Zoom during the summer and making tutorial videos for SJPL. Thuha’s friendliness, encouragement, and patience has made her a wonderful volunteer to work with. We appreciate her contribution to our community!

A Chat with Thuha
As a child... I liked to do arts and crafts with paper and glue.
My first job... was as a tutor at a summer math program.
My fondest memory... was when I would spend time with my older sister.
I am most proud of... how hard I work.
My biggest challenge... is continuing to improve.
My role model... usually celebrities that change every few months. #gemini
My community... is San Jose. I love it very much!
Libraries are... the best thing in the world. And I mean that, too!
My favorite book... is The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
If I had a superpower, it would be... being the fastest crocheter in the world.
I volunteer... because it’s the good thing to do.
If I weren't volunteering, I'd be... crocheting—or reading about my favorite celebrities 🙂
