What's the YAC & How to Join

Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Join the Youth Advisory Council (YAC) and become a voice for the youth in your City Council district! YACs are teen volunteer groups that work with their district Youth Commissioner to provide valuable input on policies and programs that directly impact young people. As a YAC member, you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of your community, ensuring that local initiatives reflect the needs and aspirations of the younger generation.

Youth Voices Needed: The Youth Advisory Councils are only for those between the ages of 13 -19.

Community Service Hours: YAC members can earn community service hours for their time and contributions. You can find other Teen Volunteering opportunities at Teen Reach. If you are over 20, you can volunteer at the library.
