Friends of the Library Groups

The Friends of San José Public Libraries are wonderful volunteers that support, advocate and raise funds for a library. Each Friends group supports a specific San José Public Library branch with book sales and other activities.

To join a Friends group, please complete the online form and mark the branch you are interested in.

Note: The San José All Friends Group is a collaboration of individual Friends groups.

Donate Your Materials

Your generous donations of new or gently used books, DVDs, videos and CDs are gratefully accepted by the Friends groups year-round at all library locations. The Friends unfortunately cannot accept magazines, encyclopedias, or Readers Digest condensed books - see other options for donating these materials.
