Library Cards
We offer a variety of library card types to meet the needs of all community members.
Free Full Access Library Cards are available to all California residents. With this card you can borrow books, movies, music, audiobooks, and devices as well as receive 24/7 instant access to our online resources.
We have collaborated with San Jose School Districts to support students’ academic goals by providing student library cards. With these cards, students can access electronic resources and check out up to five items with no late fees.
San José educators can now get a special library card that allows for an extended checkout and renewal period and no fines on overdue materials. This card is available to adults (18+) who work for a preschool or K-12 school (public, charter, private) that is located in the city of San José.
