One of my favorite days of the years, May the 4th, is just around the corner. I won't be visiting Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge to celebrate, but I'm planning to celebrate at home by listening to the soundtracks, playing Star Wars Trivial Pursuit, and re-watching the movies for the umpteenth time. Luckily, San José Public Library has plenty of online resources to help with your Star Wars fandom cravings, all from the comfort of your home. Let's take a look at some of what's available.
Soundtracks
Listening to John Williams' score music is guaranteed to get you in a Star Wars kind of mood and thankfully Hoopla has soundtracks for the movies. I can't think of Star Wars without humming the music. Here's some of my favorites of the movie soundtracks but you can also check out the full collection available there.
In addition to the movie soundtracks, the soundtracks for the TV series are also fantastic. Thankfully Hoopla has those as well, and you can see all the various soundtracks available here.
Fiction & Comics
Want to dive deeper into the Star Wars universe than the movies? We've got eBooks and eAudiobooks that explore beyond the movies and Hoopla has Star Wars comics and graphic novels to read.
For Younger Readers
There are also eBooks for younger Star Wars fans.
Guides & Humor
Looking for trivia or just for a little Star Wars humor and fun? We've got you covered there too.
The Cast & Crew
If you'd like to learn more about the people behind the movies, we have eBooks and eAudiobooks, including Carrie Fisher's books.
And you can find even more information on the cast and crew with the eResources on Biography in Context. Here's just a few:
